USD 497’s Welcome and Enrollment Center
The Lawrence Public Schools has opened a Welcome and Enrollment Center at the south entrance of the school district office, 110 McDonald Drive. This Center is the first stop for all new K-12 students enrolling in the Lawrence Public Schools. The Welcome and Enrollment Center will be open 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with evening appointments available.
The Welcome and Enrollment Center is a one-stop shop for school services, including completing an enrollment records check, paying fees, applying for Child Nutrition Benefits and fee waivers, creating a Skyward Family Access account for online access to your child’s records, and requesting school tours.
The Welcome and Enrollment Center is available to all families in Lawrence Public Schools for the following services: obtaining information about academic support services, applying for a school transfer or reassignment, locating information about school and community services and accessing Internet resources related to school needs. Families also may request interpreter services, explore before- and after-school care options, locate tutoring services and browse the Parent Resource Library.
If your child is already enrolled in Lawrence Public Schools, attended Kindergarten Roundup this spring at one of our schools, or is moving from one school to another within the Lawrence school district, enrollment is not required through the Welcome and Enrollment Center. In addition, preschoolers and Lawrence Virtual School students should continue to enroll at those program sites.
Walk-ins are welcome or new families to the Lawrence schools may call (785) 832-5000 to make a day or evening appointment.

Parents, please drop off Hy-Vee receipts in the office or send the receipts with your student and ask them to bring them to the office. Hy-Vee will donate .85 per $150 in receipts back to Southwest.
