Model UN is an opportunity for 8th and 9th graders to learn more about world politics, history, research, public speaking and diplomacy. During Model UN meetings, members can work on researching global issues, delve into the history and culture of their assigned countries, write a position paper, draft a resolution, and practice speaking in front of others. This activity requires a good amount of hard work, but it also is a good deal of fun for those willing to make the commitment!

Please stop by room 110 if you have questions.

Science Club is open to every SWJH Student and meets once each month on Tuesdays during the school year. Activities range from visiting the portable planetarium to sampling and testing water from a local pond and include all types of science. Students may choose to attend all club activities or just the ones of most interest to them. Sometimes extra-credit is offered in science classes for attending Science Club meetings, and often snacks are provided!
